About Us and Our Programme

Working in care is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding experience thus, the training in care should be creative, innovative, fun and people oriented. The Mạuri Professional Caregiving Institute understands that it is not an easy journey for anyone aspiring to work in care services. We envision to provide indigenous individuals more specifically the Rotuman Islanders of Fiji, the support and perfect qualification needed for those passionate to provide exceptional and quality care to those who need it most.

Our caregiving courses are educational programmes that provide our students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a career in caregiving. These courses are designed to cover a wide range of topics including personal care, health promotion, media education literacy and customer service skills. These are offered at Certificate levels at our institution. All courses include a blend of classroom instruction and practical, hands-on experience.

This enables the student to learn the theoretical concepts and principles of enhancing the quality of life and quality of care with qualified practitioners, as well as the practical experience in a supervised professional caregiving setting. Upon the completion of these courses, the student can garner the skills and qualifications needed to pursue a rewarding career in caregiving.
