A proud moment for three Rotuman women

It’s Women’s International Day and a proud moment for three Rotuman women who are Directors of Mauri Professional Caregiving Institute. At its 83rd meeting on February 29, 2024, the Commission approved the Recognition of the institution. Today, Mrs Annie Gukisuva, Director Operations of the institute received the Institution’s Certificate of Recognition from the Chair of the Higher Education Commission, Mr Steve Chand.
Mrs Gukisuva, along with her two sisters, serves as Directors of this newly established institution. Together, they proudly hold the distinction of being the proprietors of the first Rotuman-owned higher education institution. This remarkable achievement not only reflects the dedication and hard work of the Rotuman sisters but also brings great pride to the community of Rotuma.
